Aarti, Chalisa, mantras and vrat kathas

A library of aartis, chalisas, mantras, vrat guides and kathas. Every text names the edition it was taken from, shows the verses in Devanagari or Tamil script with a transliteration, and separates what the source says from common practice.

How to use it

  1. Search by name, deity, vrat or festival, or browse by deity.
  2. Open a text to read the verses with transliteration, and save it to favourites.
  3. For a vrat or puja, follow the step-by-step guide, which marks what comes from the cited source.

What is in the library

  • Chalisas and aartis: Shri Hanuman Chalisa, Aarti Kije Hanuman Lala Ki, Om Jai Jagdish Hare, Jai Shiv Omkara, Jai Lakshmi Mata, Ganpati Ki Seva.
  • Mantras: Gayatri Mantra and Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.
  • Vrat guides and kathas: Ekadashi, Pradosh, Sankashti Chaturthi, Maha Shivaratri and Satyanarayan.
  • Saint traditions: Kabir’s aarti, Sant Jnaneshwar’s and Sant Namdev’s aartis, and Kanda Sashti Kavacham.

Why sources are cited

Popular texts circulate in many slightly different versions. Naming the edition lets you compare a verse with the book your family uses, and keeps the guidance separate from what any one website adds.
