Master Number 11 in Numerology: Meaning and How It Is Calculated

What does number 11 mean in numerology?

11 is a master number of the Western life-path method (Inspiration): Intuitive and inspiring; nervous energy needs calm. In the Indian Mulank and Bhagyank method it is not kept; it reduces to 2, ruled by Moon.

Which planet rules number 11?

In Indian numerology 1 to 9 are ruled by the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Rahu, Mercury, Venus, Ketu, Saturn and Mars in that order, so 2 belongs to Moon. The day and colour follow that planet.

How do you get life path number 11?

Mulank (driver number) is the day of birth reduced to one digit. Bhagyank (destiny number) is every digit of the birth date added and reduced to one digit. The Western life path adds the reduced month, day and year and keeps 11, 22 and 33.

Example, born 18 January 1990: life path = month 1 → 1, day 18 → 9, year 1990 → 1; 1 + 9 + 1 = 11, kept as the master number 11. The same date's Bhagyank is 2.

Which numbers are friendly with 2?

Friendly: 1, 3, 7, 9. Not friendly: 4, 6, 8.

Two numbers are friendly when their planets are natural friends both ways, or friends one way and neutral the other (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, chapter 3, with Rahu treated as Saturn and Ketu as Mars). This is the rule the app’s Numerology tool uses.
